Healing More Than Sickness

EKM Flag

With Memorial Day just behind us, I wanted to grace our logo with Old Glory. Always remember.

Short post today but what a day! I am so excited. So much is happening in way of revival.

If you have read previous posts you know that The Lord is moving. Today (Sunday 6/3 ) was no exception.

As we worshipped this morning (actually this afternoon, as I didn’t make it to the early service) The Spirit of The Lord gave me a word. Someone had called for people to come forward for prayer who needed healing.

As plain as day, The Lord spoke to my heart, ‘Yes, healing. But not just physical, there will be healing of hurts. There will be healing of offenses. There will be healing of pasts. Emotional healings. Relationship healings. Sins forgiven and real restoration bestowed’.

Here is the really exciting part; this word was not just for the people in the service here in Chattanooga this morning. The Spirit showed me He is pouring this kind of healing out for all His children. All we have to do is get to a place where we can accept it.

What do you mean, ‘get to a place where we can accept it’?

I mean three things:

  1. Get to a place spiritually where we are broken over our sin and repentant of it, or
  2. Get to a place where we realize we can’t do it on our own and we HAVE to give it to Him and receive what He has for us, and
  3. Get to a place where The Spirit of the Lord is.

Read this carefully, where The Spirit of The Lord is, there is liberty (2 Cor. 3:17). Liberty to…

  • Love
  • Worship
  • Give
  • Release
  • Grow
  • Repent  (I highlighted the words ‘Release’ and ‘Repent’, as The Lord just shouted those in my spirit)

I could obviously go on and on with this list but the point is we have to be in a place where we are allowed to accept all God has for us.

Too many Pharisees wish to hold you back with their philosophies, semantics, traditions, and their uncomfortableness with their own spiritual conditions.

Time is short. God is at work. I know you want to work with Him. You want to be a part of His purposes.

Isaiah 60:1

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”

I honestly cannot wait to see what God has for us…you and me…just around the corner!!!

Update:

I wrote the above at about 15:00 Hrs Sunday, June 3.
At about 20:00 Hrs a brother in Christ called me. He was telling me he had gotten to a point of RELEASE regarding a particular situation. He had gotten to a point of giving it to The Lord and admitting he couldn’t do anything about the situation and was giving it to God.

This is the kind of healing God was telling me about.

Now, as you have therefore received Christ Jesus, so walk ye in Him.

Praise The Lord!

Alert: Special Report

Final

15 years ago, when I was pastor of Middle Fork Road Baptist Church, things were happening so quickly on the prophetic level it was head-spinning.

The Sanhedrin had been reformed, the temple Institute had reconstructed most all the Holy vessels ready to be used in the rebuilt Temple, and on and on and on. Things I taught on and preached on, things that must happen before the return of our Messiah. Exciting times!

I am not a ’date setter’ but things were happening so quickly that, at that time, I would have bet the Lord would return within at least 20 years.

Things were happening quickly at that time but then it seemed we hit a slow down period of prophetic fulfillment.

Why?

The one element I did not take into consideration was God’s Amazing Grace. His grace alone has given us more time to share the Good News so more can be saved.

During the last 10 years, I have preached allot about a coming last days Revival, a coming last days outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and a coming last days Harvest.

Those days have begun!

Since moving where we are, we have seen little by little the fire of the Holy Spirit pour out and grow. By true worship in Spirit and in truth, those Flames have been fanned and are growing!

There was a time when I somewhat expected this last days outpouring to be sudden and on a grand scale all at once. I do not believe this is how it will actually happen.

Like the original day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on a certain number and then, just like a fire, it’s spread. This is happening where we are and it will spread!

What is even more exciting is what God has just around the corner.

I think most of you reading this understand that we just celebrated the 70th birthday of The Rebirth of Israel.

Getting Ready for Israel’s 70th Birthday at OCI

70… 7070

I know there are those reading this who understand the significance of 70 so I won’t go into that in this post.

What I also hope you understand the significance of is that this weekend is the celebration of Pentecost.

The first Pentecost following the 70th birthday of The Rebirth of Israel.

Do the Holy Ghost hairs on the back of anyone’s neck stand up at this?

What might happen this weekend? What may begin to happen following this weekend?

Maybe that depends on what you expect to happen with open hearts; what you are hungry for with hands stretched toward Heaven; what you yearn for with a spirit tuned in to God’s frequency.

Question: what if you spent time with The Lord in your own upper room this weekend?

What would God have for you…just around the corner?

Rain or Storm

wordpressheader.jpg

I was looking at these leaves the other day and began to think about how they mirror our lives.

656550A6-46EC-43A5-B27D-08B1F19499EF

Our lives begin very much like those leaves above; tender, shiny, and new. As yet unscathed by the storms of life, the trials of the beating sun, or the attacks of enemy insects.

The thing I really began to think about was the old saying, “When leaves show their undersides, be very sure rain betides.”

Have you ever noticed how leaves seem to turn over when rain or a storm is approaching?

It’s true. The leaves of deciduous trees, like maples and poplars, do often turn upward before heavy rain. The leaves are actually reacting to the sudden increase in humidity that usually precedes a storm. Leaves with soft stems can become limp in response to abrupt changes in humidity, allowing the wind to flip them over (McLeod, Jaime. “Can Leaves Predict a Storm?” Farmers’ Almanac. June 8, 2009. Accessed May 12, 2018. https://www.farmersalmanac.com/can-leaves-predict-a-storm-3195.)

We could learn allot from leaves…yes leaves.

Oh that we would turn our hands, hearts, and minds upward toward Heaven. Whether for rain (the rain of The Holy Spirit) or when storms approach.

The leaves know when they need rain. They have discernment to know when a storm is coming. They turn their vulnerable, inward side upward toward Heaven, trusting they will be filled and nourished.

Romans 1:20
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

Look around. Where do you see God in all He has made?

When you see it, you may find He has more for you…just around the corner.

Easy Going?

When you are in God’s will everything is peachy…right?

Remember Genesis 12 when God told Abram to leave his country, leave his kin folks, and go to a land I will show you?

If you think about it, that’s a hard pill to swallow. Think about it for just a moment before you move on.

biblical abram Google Search

  • Leave your home. The only one you’ve ever known.
  • Leave your family…your family. ‘See ya, Mom and Dad’.
  • Leave the land you should inherit.
  • Leave the house you should inherit.
  • Leave the place where your trusty dog, old yeller, was buried when you were a kid.
  • Leave your friends.
  • And then go to a place……….I will show you.

Really?

Well God said it so I’ll do it, right? I mean there is no better place than to be in God’s will, right?

When you are in God’s will things will be easy goin, right?

Well, let’s see. Abram did everything God told him to do. He left home, traveled to the land of Canaan, and landed first on a mountain, east of Bethel.

The Bible says he pitched his tent between Bethel and Hai (Gen. 12:8).

I’ll get back to the subject in a second but first, this is interesting. He pitched his tent between Bethel…and Hai.

You see, obeying God once is not the end all-be all of your walk with Him. After you obey Him once, you have a choice to make….

Will you obey Him again?

You see, Abram pitched his tent in a place of choice. To one side was Bethel which means, ‘House of God’. To his other side was Hai which means, ‘the Heap’, or ‘Heap of Ruins’.

It’s metaphorical for the choice found in Deuteronomy 11:26-28, Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Fortunately, Abram makes the right choice, to continue to obey God. Which brings us back to the point of the post; When you are in God’s will everything is peachy…right?

Anyone reading this who has served God for any length of time at all will know we live in a sin-fallen-world and The Lord Jesus himself said as long as we live in this sin-fallen-world we will have trouble.

Abram is doing everything he knows to follow The Lord and obey Him, yet in Genesis 12:10…, And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.

Not just a famine but a grievous famine!

I don’t know about you but I don’t like famines. I go through one about every hour and a half until I can get something to eat. But praise God, there is something to eat.

The famine we are talking about here in Genesis was real. There was no snack every hour and a half.

The good news is I have not seen the righteous forsaken,

nor his seed begging bread (Psalm 37:25).

challah Google Search

Even following God’s will we can experience times of hardship, but God will supply our needs just like He provided for Abram in Egypt.

Abram continued to trust The Lord, and look how he came out on the other side of the famine!

Are you facing something hard right now? Hang in there and see what God has for you…just around the corner.

Another Thing…

Do you remember the post on the ‘Natural Man’?

God has been revealing some incredible things to me in the first two chapters of 1 Corinthians, or as they say in Selmer, ‘Carrinthians’. (Come on now, you know it’s true. Let’s go to Carrinth!) I’m sorry to say I’m not sharing any of those things here today but I am going to share something that hit me this morning (201804.14).

The natural man can be a funny thing. We can say one thing and then turn right around and contradict ourselves the next.

For example, (and I am speaking strictly from we church folks point of view) many people say those ‘supernatural’ things of God, the spiritual gifts the Bible speaks of, don’t happen any longer. Those things stopped happening (Depending on who you talk to)….

  • When the last of the original Apostles died (John)
  • When Scripture was canonized
  • When the first Pope was put into office
  • When the Baptist Convention was formed (C’mon, lighten up. Can’t you take a joke?)

Yet in the next breath say that…

  • Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Heb. 13:8
  • Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
  • For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Mal. 3:6

Jesus Himself told us the things we would do (Mark 16:17 & 18).

Since my wife and I finally stepped out in faith, we have seen things like this that we were not seeing when we were stuck in the church rut (I know I am probably upsetting someone right now but the truth is the truth, and I promise you I am speaking it in love, yearning for every believer to walk as we were intended to walk (Rom. 8:1 & 4).

Ok, I’m off my stump, back to the natural man…

Answer this question: Would you say the natural and the spiritual man are opposites? Sure. The natural man is absolutely clueless when it comes to spiritual things.

1 Cor. 2:14, But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

This is what came to my mind this morning as I was reading 1 Cor. 2. Paul is telling us, the born-again reader, that we should trust in the revealing of The Spirit rather than the education from man’s wisdom.

He says, “I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God” v.1, but “I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:” v.3&4.

I encourage you to read the entire chapter but I’ll share one more verse, “But God hath revealed them unto us by his seminary: for the seminary searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” v.10.

Of course it doesn’t say that. It says…

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Cor. 2:10.

  • Not by enticing words
  • Not by educated words
  • Not by words from the world’s wisdom
  • Matt. 16:17

In fact, it is Paul who tells us to LOOK AROUND at each other, ourselves and our brothers and sisters, to see what kind of people God has truly called…

1 Cor. 1:26, For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

Regular folks…regular folks.

Here is my point in that many people have it backward; many think a preacher, evangelist, or pastor must have a seminary degree or even a doctorate to hold the office.

That is completely contrary to what Scripture teaches. Over and over Paul emphasizes spiritual sensitivity, spiritual discernment, spiritual revelation, so that no flesh (diplomas, degrees, titles) should glory in His presence (1 Cor. 1:29).

Some who know me may say, “Well Bro. Kyle, don’t you have a seminary degree?”

Yes, I do. But do you know why I have it? Not because I trust in the wisdom and education of man, ”For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ’.

I have it so I can get into those churches that think you need it, in order that I may preach truth in there!!!

The moral of the story is we, as the body of Christ, should pause for discernment when judging a certain thing. Is it our flesh influencing us or is it The Spirit? Many times we will find our flesh telling us something quite opposite The Spirit.

Let’s change gears, shall we?…

I sense as I write this some of you are still stewing over the first part of this post. I know most of my audience and I know the church background of many of you. You are not seeing these things the Bible talks about happening where you are.

I KNOW. I was there too for many years.

If you have stayed and read this far I feel in my spirit I owe a word to someone, so I will go off-track in talking to all of you and now talk to two of you (at least two that I myself know of. The Lord could use it to talk to more).

There is a lady reading this who recently posted something about knowing there is more of God. She said it hit her one rainy Sunday morning before Resurrection Day.

You and I both know this started far prior to a rainy Sunday before Resurrection Day. God has been dealing with you about this for a long time. It’s what I tried to tell you that last Sunday we were together but quite honestly I am just learning to listen to a word from The Spirit myself and sometimes have a hard time articulating it.
At any rate, what you are sensing in your spirit is correct, there is more.
Jesus spoke a hard statement in Matt 11:14. He said, “…IF ye will receive it…”

It is a difficult thing to receive something that is different from what we have been taught and involved with for so long. Even good men like Nicodemus had a hard time receiving truth outside his upbringing.
There are things beyond what we have been exposed to and what makes us comfortable. There is The unchanging truth. There is Jesus and His Scriptures that will remain exactly the same until He comes again and all is fulfilled.
There is more… It has always been there. It is clear in the Scriptures. And it is powerful, empowering, beautiful, humbling, personal, and real.
Acts 19:1-6.
Grace be unto you and may He guide you in your asking, give you eyes in your seeking, and give you courage to knock on the right door, and then to walk through it.

There is another lady who may be reading this. She is fully aware of the truth above but she has been so long separated from it, it eludes her.

The Spirit just said, “In order to be baptized, one must get in the water”.

Wow! Thank You, Lord.

I hope the meaning is clear.
Jesus looked at Matthew and simply said, “Follow Me”.
We must go where He is. Things will not happen where He is not.
Go. Whatever you have to do and wherever you have to go, GO!

This post may cut to the heart of some.

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What DOES God have for you…just around the corner?

When Jesus Shows Up, There is Evidence

wordpressheader5.jpg

A short post today but something to really ponder. I think it probably ties in well with last week’s post.

My wife spoke a powerful word the other day.

We were talking about all the wonderful things we have seen God do lately. We saw a lady with a blind right eye, see. We saw a man with a deaf ear, hear. We saw another man who was scheduled to have knee surgery, completely healed and no longer need the knee surgery.

To be honest, we haven’t seen things like this in a long time.

My wife and I were talking about it all and praising God and out of her mouth came a tremendous, wonderful, exciting truth…

“In the New Testament, wherever Jesus showed up, there was evidence He was there.”

  • Water was made wine.
  • Blind eyes were opened.
  • Deaf ears were opened.
  • Crippled limbs were strengthened.
  • Hearts were truly repentant.
  • Lives were completely changed.
  • Real faith was activated (If I can only touch the Tzitzit of His Tallit I know I can be healed).

touching his tzitzit Google Search

It is exciting to be where Jesus is. But everything He does, even the things I talk about above, are for a purpose. Not the purpose of simply exciting us but for the purpose of glorifying The Father in order to draw people into His Kingdom and closer to Him.

God is continually giving of Himself for you and for me. God loves you so much and wants you reconciled to Himself so badly that He gave His only begotten Son for you and me.

Nothing you have done, no distance you have gone can separate you from the love of your Father (Romans 8:38-39, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord).

Some have said, “But you don’t understand what I’ve done”; no, you don’t understand how much He loves you and how powerful His blood is to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Do you really think God did not know what you would do and how you would behave either before OR after you were saved? Yet He still loves you. He still pursues you. He still wants to reconcile you to Himself.

I am speaking to someone reading this right now.

Like the prodigal son, take the first step of faith back toward home and The Father will come running the rest of the way to you.

Then you will begin to see the miracles and the wonderful things He has for you…just around the corner.
