Did you know our words are portal openers?

When we speak, we either open a portal of praise for God to walk through or we open a portal of hell for the enemy to walk through. Portal opening happens one way or another. The question is, which portal will your words open?

If we open the portal of praise, God comes in and with Him comes life.
So, if there is…
* a sick person who needs to be healed,
* a mountain that needs moving,
* a sea that needs to be parted—the One who can do all those things shows up when our mouth agrees with the Word of God.

If our mouth speaks things contrary to the Word, we open the portal for the devil to come in; defeat, discouragement and depression follow him.

Proverbs 18:20, A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

If we have ever met a truly satisfied person, we can assume that person is speaking right things. That person is consistently speaking words of life from God’s Word.

On the flip side of the coin, if we have ever met a person who is not satisfied with life, it is likely because his or her mouth isn’t lining up with God’s Word. Take a look at the very next verse:

Proverbs 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

In other words, if we can begin to understand the power our words —if we can begin to understand the power that is present in our words of praise—we will begin to experience the presence of God, and as I said earlier, with Him comes life,… real life! Hallelujah!

What does God have for you…just around the corner?
