Let’s finish this up, shall we? And don’t forget to pray for the revival services at Pinson going on now (see previous post). I will be preaching tomorrow night…looking forward to it!
The second part of Hebrews 11:6 says that we must believe that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
How do we “diligently seek God”? Through prayer in His Word asking God to show us something (I’m reminded of Psalms 119:18, Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I’ve prayed that one many times), through worship in and out of church, and by striving to apply what we learn to our lives. If we are not trying to improve every day and seeking to love and serve others more, then anything else we are doing is a waste.
As we are diligently seeking Him, He will reward us. He will reward us with the desires of our hearts. In my life, there is nothing better than the reward of His presence. Oh when the Holy Spirit of God washes over you and covers you like a blanket. Oh when you enter His presence through worship or prayer and suddenly you recognize God showing you something, telling you something, revealing something to you. There is nothing like it.
God loves His Church. He wants His Church to be filled with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance, which are the fruits of the Spirit.
Psalms 5:11-12, But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
What does God have for you…just around the corner?
