Having a Good Time!

Well Hello There!

It has been a little while since I posted anything. Work continues to be heavy, but not to worry, God is still in control (Did you ever doubt?).

Just to give you a few updates, we had a great time at Eagle Creek Baptist Church! While Bro. Jamie, his wife Tina, and the kids took a well-deserved vacation, I had the privilege and blessing of filling in for Bro. Jamie two Sundays!  The Lord laid messages of the last days from Daniel on my heart and how we should live and conduct ourselves in these last days from Colossians 2.

This past week I was back at Huron Baptist Church. It was good to see everyone there again. Sunday morning I preached from Ecclesiastes 5, a message I called “Worship, Not Socialize”. Sunday night I preached a message the Lord laid on me called “Walk Like a Man” from Romans chapter 8 (I also tried to sing “Give it Away” by the Gaither Vocal Band. “Tried” is the key word in that sentence!).

I am looking forward to preaching at a men’s breakfast August 20th at Faith Baptist Church outside of Henderson Tennessee. The Pastor, Bro. Rick Babin, is on fire for God and the church is really growing.

I’ll leave you today with this…

Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!!!! Unfortunately we have a generation of young people today reading this scripture from corrupt translations of the Bible. These corrupt translations completely leave out the part about having no condemnation FOR THOSE WHO WALK IN THE SPIRIT.

Young people read the first part of that verse, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, and they think, “Why try to live a moral life? I’ve got my ticket out of Hell. I’m saved. Why even try to live according to God’s commandments?”

The reason why is that as long as we walk in the light as He is in the light (the same as walking in the Spirit) then we have fellowship with one another AND the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us (not DID cleanse or WILL cleanse, but continually cleanseth as we walk) from all unrighteousness (1 John 5:7).

If we are not walking in the light, if we are not walking in the Spirit, then we ARE under condemnation and we will be under conviction of the Holy Spirit of God, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in us (Romans 8:9). That means all the benefits of being saved, all the Abrahamic covenant blessings that should be ours (Galatians 3:29, And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise) all the joy, all the peace, all the passion, will be lost to us and we will be defeated and miserable.

God DID NOT give His only begotten Son just for us to walk around looking like our brand new puppy was just run over by a train!!!

John 1:12, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!!! That’s why God gave His only begotten Son, so we could cry Abba, Father, and proclaim Him as sons and daughters to the world.

What does God have for you…just around the corner?
