Have you ever heard anyone say that they don’t think young children should be given the choice to be saved because “they are not old enough to understand”?
I once heard Dr. Adrian Rogers say it is a sin to keep a child from accepting the Lord if they feel ready within themselves.
I believe the enemy (lets be clear: the enemy is the devil) begins work on his victims at an early age. Why; because he understands completely the importance of teaching a child early in life.
At an early age, children are very impressionable. They pick up things quickly. This goes for good things and bad. It is never too early to start teaching and it is never too early to start discipline. You know this to be true if you have ever seen a toddler throw a fit and get away with it…they WILL do it again.
This is exactly why we are told, Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
The Gospel and right and wrong must be ingrained into a child before time, circumstances, and the world hardens their hearts.
How are you raising your children?
What does God have for them…just around the corner.
