Philippians 2:12-15, Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
“[S]hould things go wrong at any time, the people will set them to rights by the peaceable exercise of their elective rights.”-Thomas Jefferson.
|O Lord, our nation is in need of the transforming Light of the world. You have given us the privilege of being a potential vessel of Your light and today, we ask that you ignite a fire in our souls to fuel our sense of duty to shine that light by way of the electoral process. Move Your people to vote in every upcoming opportunity and let the righteous “say so” wherever we go, that others may become informed and convicted of doing what is good and right, nevertheless, not our will but Yours be done in Jesus’ name!
