First Time for Everything

I have never asked for your help in telling others to take a look at this blog…until now.

Over the next few weeks, beginning November 1st, I will be issuing a series of blog posts relating to the poll put out a short time ago wherein I asked you to answer this simple question: Will America recover from the current economic crisis or will she go bankrupt?

I will be sharing (anonymously) the responses received as a result of that survey and proceed to relay to you where I stand on this issue. It may seem at first glance that this is not a subject Kingdom Watch would normally delve into, however God has burdened my heart greatly on the subject over the past few months and I cannot keep it to myself. Indeed…

Ezekiel 33:2-4, Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:  If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

Therefore, tell your friends and family to sign up for the posts or at least put it on their calendars to check this blog every other day beginning November 1st. Information every American needs to know will be here. To give you an idea of what the posts will be like and what kinds of information they will contain, here is a sample…

Reflecting on the original question; will America recover or go bankrupt, the following is just one of many points to be covered here:

Today we think nothing of it. It has been a part of every American’s life for so long now we believe it must have always been there. It has not always been here and it will certainly not be here in the near future. In 1935 the Social Security Act was passed into law. To hear those who designed it, planned it, and nurtured it into being, one would think it would rid our nation of all evils regarding “old age” and every American reaching the age of 65 would have some sort of retirement.

Within just four years of the act passing, Congress included survivor’s insurance. The year I was born, 1965, Medicare benefits were added. Now take a deep breath and let what I am about to write soak in very slowly. Ready? Breath deeply….by 2008 Social Security and Medicare has grown to $1 Trillion; one-third of the federal budget (Robert Pear-Recession Drains Social Security and Medicare. New York Times.com).

Many are led to believe that Social Security funds are protected in a trust fund…WRONG…there is no Social Security trust fund. Today’s contributors are funding the promises made to the older contributors; empty promises. People who have faithfully paid their Social Security taxes year after year are relying on an empty federal wallet to fulfill the promise made to them.

William Gross, managing director of the Pimco Group, said, “What a good country or a good squirrel should be doing is stashing away nuts for the winter. The United States is not only NOT saving nuts, it’s eating the ones left over from the last winter.” (Edmund L. Andrews-Payback Time:Wave of Debt Payments Facing U.S. Government. New York Times.com).

Former Governor of Colorado, Richard Lamm said, “Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want and their kids pay for it.” (Charles Goyette-The Dollar Meltdown: Surviving the Impending Currency Crisis with Gold, Oil, and Other Unconventional Investments).

Social Security is not Christmas and it is not secure. In fact, it is in it’s death throes as we speak. It is simply unsustainable. This is just one reason why God has burdened my heart with this study and this information. God’s people need to prepare and become more self-sufficient. In the coming days, we will discuss more on the state of our country and what the future holds. We may even answer the question; will America recover or go bankrupt?

So again, please tell everyone you know to sign up for the Kingdom Watch posts. Let’s make everyone aware and pray that the Lord will wake us all up to what is happening in these last days so that we may prepare. I’ll make it easy for them. Below is the link to the website posts…

From there they can simply read them or follow the instructions for subscribing to have the posts come right to their email inbox.

Thank you for your faithfulness.

What does God have for you…just around the corner?
