Tomorrow is the Day

Tomorrow (9/8/10) at 6:54 p.m. central standard time, Rosh Hashanah begins.

Have you determined in your mind to use it for God’s glory? Have you determined in your mind to celebrate the new year by reflecting on the past year and looking into your own life for the shortcomings that are there? Have you determined in your own mind to use Rosh Hashanah as the catalyst to make a new beginning in your walk with the Lord?

What resolutions are you going to make? What changes are you going to effect in your life for God’s glory and for you and your family’s sakes?

For the past few years, we have celebrated Rosh Hashanah with friends. This year however, my wife and I have decided to make it a very special time between just the two of us and God.  My wife has a wonderful meal planned with several traditional recipes heading the menu. After that, I plan scripture reading, prayer, and a discussion with my better half about things we can do together to make this new year even better in our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. After that, more prayer together, making our resolutions to God and each other, to help one another and encourage one another to be all we can be for the Lord.

Happy Rosh Hashanah!

What does God have for you…just around the corner?
