The Temple…again

I have preached and taught on the soon-to-be-rebuilt Temple quite a bit over the past few years. If you will do just a little, even casual searching, you will see all kinds of news about the Temple being rebuilt. It is going to happen…obviously.

The thing I want to stress to believers is this: we may not see it happen. That’s right. We may not see the Temple rebuilt. Let me explain why; the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:22, For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

In other words, the Jews have to have a sign to show them God is doing something and us Gentiles (who walk by sight and not by faith) want tangible proof through science and knowledge (the wisdom of man).

I preached recently at Grace Baptist Church and told them that we are not waiting on any sign or any prophecy to be fulfilled in order for the Rapture to occur. I believe the “great signs” are reserved for the Great Tribulation.

Daniel refers to the Great Tribulation as the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”. Jacob, who is the very spirit of Israel (in fact God renamed him Israel), represents the chosen people of God. When the Bible speaks of Jacob this way (the time of Jacob’s trouble) it is speaking of the nation of Israel itself. Therefore the Great Tribulation is not for us, for we are not appointed unto wrath (1 Thes. 5:9), but for the Jews. The Great Tribulation, the Time of Jacob’s Trouble is for the Jews to be finally brought to the point of having nowhere else to look but up and to finally realize that Jesus is their Messiah (Yeshua HaMashiach).

Many signs are to take place in the last days. I believe these signs are going to take place during the Great Tribulation and not before. Why? Because signs are for the Jews, not us. We walk by faith and not by sight. We, who are saved by grace, do not need signs.

So great signs of Messiah’s return, like the rebuilding of the Temple and the revealing of the Ark of the Covenant and so on, may not happen while we are still here to see them. We may be gone already.

What is the point of this entire post? Think about it; the Temple is very near being built now; look it up, Google it and see how much work and talk and planning is going on about it. If the Temple is so near being rebuilt now…how much time is left before the Rapture occurs?

I hope this post is read before you hear the Shofar (Trumpet) and we are outta here!!!

What does God have for you…just around the corner?
