Psalms 84:2, My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Ok, he didn’t have a “long” soul, he just longed for God. Are you hungry for God? I mean hungry like David talks about here in this verse? I believe that if our prayer life is right, if our Bible study time is right, if our striving to walk right in His sight is right (that’s a lot of “ights”), then we will be hungry. We will long to be in His presence and in the presence of His people. We will yearn to seek Him and to praise Him. We will desire to worship Him.
He says in Psalm 37 that if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. The beauty of that is that as we begin to delight ourselves in Him, He Himself becomes more and more the desire of our heart. It’s a beautiful circle. The more we delight in Him, the more we want of Him.
Man, let’s get together and have church!!
Lord bless you today.
