Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
What is the substance of things hoped for? What is the evidence of things not seen?
It is how we think, talk, and act toward what we are believing God for. For example, I’m mowing the yard a few days ago and just as pretty as you please, the front end falls straight down, throwing me over the steering wheel, and digging into the dirt! The axle broke completely in two.
My first thought was, “How much is this going to cost?” My second thought was, “I’m not worried about it.” This verse came to mind, Philippians 4:6, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
This is the substance and evidence of what hasn’t even happened yet…I am believing God is going to provide a way to pay for having it repaired. I know in my heart God is going to provide a way to have it repaired. There is not a doubt in my mind that my God is going to take care of it. In Jesus name, the Lord is going to provide the means for having the mower repaired.
We must speak it, think it, and act like we believe it. It must be as though it already is. That is the evidence and substance of things hoped for and still unseen.
Thank you Lord and Lord bless you today.
