A week or so ago, I posted something about not forsaking the old landmark. That’s been on mind alot lately, the old landmark.
Upon the beginning of the construction of the Temple altar, one Rabbi said, “The altar is supposed to represent going back to our roots, to the time of creation when everything was pure,” he said. “We took rocks from the Dead Sea, where it is likely that they were never touched by human hands.”
Can we go back? We…the Church, can we go back to the way it is supposed to be? Real worship, real, heartfelt praise, real prayer, real love for one another?
I challenge us all to strive to do just that, return to the old landmark, to the early new testament church.
